The Line: Florida Atlantic Owls -5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The North Texas Mean Green will put their two-game winning streak on the line when they play the Florida Atlantic Owls.
The Mean Green are in the middle of a three-game road trip and have won two of their last seven games. While they average 70.5 points on the season, they haven’t touched 70 points in three straight games. In their last five, they’re averaging just 65 points on 41.7 percent shooting, while the defense is allowing 70.2 points on 42.7 percent shooting. They are 4-6 SU on the road, where they average 71.4 points and allow 76.8 points. They are 9-9-1 ATS overall and 8-4 ATS on the road.

The Owls have lost two straight games and three of their last five. During that stretch, they’re averaging 64.8 points on 39.8 percent shooting and allowing 68.8 points on 45.2 percent shooting. Points have really been hard to come by as of late, as they’ve scored a combined 108 points in their last two games. However, they’re slightly better at home, averaging 68 points and allowing just 64.7 points. They are 12-10 ATS overall and 5-3 ATS on their home court.
While both teams have been shaky all season, North Texas has lost four of its last five road games SU. Florida Atlantic tightens up its defense at home and holds teams under 41 percent shooting. That’s not a great sign for a team that’s struggling to shoot the basketball.
The Owls are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games following an ATS loss, while the Mean Green are just 2-5 ATS in their last seven conference games.
You won’t catch me wagering me on this game, but for the sake of the article, I’ll back FAU at home and the small chalk.
