The Mack Sports Complex and the Hofstra Pride entertain the Towson Tigers in CAA action.
Towson is playing as well as any team in the Colonial but they are two games behind Delaware for first with just three games remaining. The Tigers won for the sixth time in seven contests with a 79-70 victory at Northeastern on Thursday. A 48 point second half erased a three point deficit with 54% shooting and a near perfect 20-22 effort at the stripe holding off the 48% marksmanship of the Huskies. Rafriel Guthrie led the scoring charge with a game high 21 points followed by a 19 point, five pull effort from Mike Burwell while Marcus Damas and Timajh Parker-Rivera added 13 points and five boards each.

Hofstra hasn't enjoyed a banner year as four wins in the conference have them entrenched in next to last which in reality is just a pair of defeats out of fifth. The goal now is to finish the remaining schedule strong and enter the playoffs with a full head of steam and possibly pull off an upset or two. The Pride certainly gave Delaware all they could handle with a nine point lead that melted away in to an 81-77 defeat at home. Both teams connected in the 41% range with Hofstra staying close with 12 bombs while the Blue Hens winning won it with a 22-11 edge at the line. The Pride received 26 points from Zeke Upshaw with Dion Nesmith tossing in 22 points with five dishes followed by Jordan Allen and Jamall Robinson with 15 points and five yanks each.
I bought in to the Towson hype in the preseason and sincerely believed they would win the Colonial. That's not going to happen but they are playing well and this is a game I think we'll see what they are made versus a team they typically struggle with...
