The Line: Kentucky Wildcats -11.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Kentucky Wildcats and the LSU Tigers face off on Saturday at Rupp Arena for a SEC college basketball rematch.
The Kentucky Wildcats have won five of their last six games and they are out to avenge an earlier loss in Baton Rouge to LSU. UK is 10-3 in the SEC and 14-1 at home this season. Julius Randle leads the Wildcats averaging 16 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. James Young is averaging 14.3 points, Aaron Harrison is averaging 13.5 points, and Andrew Harrison is averaging 11.3 points. Kentucky is averaging 78.3 points and they are shooting 47 percent while defensively they are allowing 66.5 points and their opponents are shooting 39.6 percent. Kentucky probably aren’t going to catch Florida for the regular season SEC Title.

The LSU Tigers are coming off of a win that ended a two game losing skid. LSU is 7-6 in the SEC, 4-7 away from home, and 1-1 against teams ranked in the top 25. Johnny O’Bryant III is averaging 15.3 points and 7.6 rebounds to lead the Tigers. Jordan Mickey is averaging 13.8 points and 7.4 rebounds, Andre Stringer is averaging 12 points, and Jarrell Martin is averaging 9.9 points. LSU is averaging 77.8 points and they are shooting 45.2 percent while defensively they are allowing 72.6 points and their opponents are shooting 40.8 percent. LSU will be going for the season sweep of the Cats.
Kentucky is 5-2 against the spread in their last seven home games, 5-12-1 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the spread, and 4-1 against the spread in their last five home games against a team with a losing road record. LSU is 1-4-2 against the spread following a win, 0-5 against the spread in their last five games, and 0-5-2 against the spread in their last seven road games. LSU has covered the point spread in five of their last six meetings in Kentucky.
Kentucky is big favorite and a bad cover team but with revenge in mind and being the better team I like the Cats to cover here.
