The Saint Joseph’s Hawks could win their fourth straight game with a victory over the Fordham Rams.
The Rams have been in a freefall for much of the last month, losing five of their last six games. They are now 2-9 SU in conference play. During this losing stretch, they’re averaging 69.4 points on 39.9 percent shooting and allowing 81.2 points on 48.3 percent shooting. They’re also turning the ball over nearly 15 times per game. On the road, they score 67.8 points and allow 83.8 points. They’re also not making anybody any money, as they’re 8-10-1 ATS overall and 3-7-1 ATS on the road.
The Hawks have won three straight and five of their last six games. During their streak, they’re scoring 64.6 points on 42.4 percent shooting and giving up 62.6 points on 41.9 percent shooting. Four of their last five wins have been decided by seven points or less. At home, they’re averaging 69.7 points on 45.5 percent shooting and allowing 65.7 points. They are 11-9-1 ATS overall and 4-5-1 ATS on their home court.
While the Hawks have played in many close games recently, those were all against much better teams such as Dayton, UMass and VCU. Fordham doesn’t fall in that category.
The Rams are 2-10 SU on the road and have lost their last five road games by 10 or more points. The Hawks are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following an ATS loss, while the favorite is 6-1-1 in the last eight meetings between these two teams.
This game is going to get ugly, which is why the Hawks should cover the spread.
