The Texas A&M Aggies and the Tennessee Volunteers face off in College Station on Saturday in SEC college basketball.
The Texas A&M Aggies have won two of their last three games and three of their last five with all of those wins coming at home. Texas A&M is 14-2 at home this season 6-7 in the SEC as they sit in a tie for eighth place in the SEC standings. Jamal Jones leads the Aggies averaging 12.8 points per game. Kourtney Roberson is averaging 9.6 points and 6.8 rebounds, Alex Caruso is averaging 8.3 points, and Jordan Green is averaging 6.7 points. Texas A&M is averaging 65.2 points and they are shooting 42.8 percent while defensively they are allowing 62.3 points and their opponents are shooting 39.9 percent. Texas A&M’s road record has prevented them from having an outstanding year.

The Tennessee Volunteers are coming off of a win over Georgia that ended a two game losing skid. Tennessee is 7-6 in the SEC and 4-7 away from home this season. Jordan McRae leads the Vols averaging 19.3 points per game. Jarnell Stokes is averaging 14.4 points and 10.2 rebounds, Jeronne Maymon is averaging 10.3 points and 8.0 rebounds, and Josh Richardson is averaging 9.5 points. Tennessee is averaging 72.2 points and they are shooting 44.6 percent while defensively they are allowing 63.2 points and their opponents shoot 41.9 percent. Tennessee hasn’t looked like a NCAA Tournament team this year.
Texas A&M is 4-1 against the spread in their last five games, 4-10 against the spread following a win, and 5-1 against the spread in their last six home games. Tennessee is 17-7 against the spread against the SEC.
The Aggies have gotten it done at home this year and I look for them to do it again as a dog here.
