The Line: Boston University Terriers -6.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Bucknell Bison and Boston Terriers will meet Sunday afternoon in a rare nationally televised college basketball matchup. These two teams played one another near the end of January, and Boston won a 64-61 thriller.
The Bison have been able to shake inconsistent play as of late, winning three straight games. In their last five contests, they’re averaging 62.8 points on 41 percent shooting and allowing 60.6 points on 39.7 percent shooting. They average 66.2 points and allow 54.8 points on the season. On the road, they average 67.9 points and allow 68.2 points. They are 1-1 ATS overall and 1-1 ATS on the road.

The Terriers have won five straight and continue to pull away as arguably the best team in the Patriot League. During this winning streak, they’re averaging 76.6 points on 47.9 percent shooting and allowing 62 points on 42.4 percent shooting. They’re one of the better offensive teams in the country, as they’ve topped 80 points in four of their last seven games. At home they average 74.6 points and give up 65.2 points. They are 4-2 ATS overall and 1-0 ATS on their home court.
Considering neither team plays in many lined games, you really have to make your pick simply on which is the better team. Bucknell wants to a play a game in the 60s and grind it out, while Boston wants to speed it up a bit and score in the upper 70s.
The problem is this game is being played in Boston, where the Terriers are 9-3 SU and have scored 80-plus points in three of their last four contests. Bucknell is 6-8 SU on the road and has lost four of its last six.
Boston just beat Bucknell at their place and is now in a more comfortable environment. I expect the shots to fall and for the Terriers to cover the spread.
