The Central Michigan Chippewas look for back to back wins versus the Northern Illinois Huskies.
The challenged offense of Northern Illinois survived a triple overtime duel with Eastern Michigan by a 61-59 count where points were painful to come by. The Huskies kept themselves in line for a top four finish despite an anemic 29% shooting performance. NIU easily won the backboards 53-37 but gave the ball away 22 times but held the Eagles to 27% from the floor in a very strange boxscore. Jordan Threloff was the offensive start with 27 points and 18 rebounds with Aaric Armstead adding 13 points and ten more boards.

Central Michigan posted just their second conference win of the season and in the process climbed out of the basement although it was far from easy. The Chippewas outlasted visiting Ball State 101-95 in double OT even though they seemingly trailed the entire game. The Chips led the shooting battle 46%-44% with 12 long balls edging out the Cardinals 28-19 edge at the stripe. Braylo Rayson poured in 30 points followed by an 18 point, 12 assist effort from Chris Fowler. Blake Hibbitts and Austin Stewart netted 17 points apiece with Stewart nabbing ten boards while John Simons added 13 points.
These teams have taken turns beating one another so it's Central Michigan's turn to win. I am still taking the points but there are better places to be in my view...
