The Pittsburgh Panthers dropped to 20-6, 8-5 ACC after losing to North Carolina 75-71 last weekend. The Panthers are led by Lamar Patterson, who in my opinion is one of the best players in the ACC, if not the country this season. Patterson averages a team-high 17 points and 4.4 assists per game this season. Talib Zanna is averaging a second-best 12.7 points per game while averaging a team-high 7.9 rebounds per game. The Panthers averages a solid 72.6 points per game while shooting 46.4% from the field as a team this season. Pittsburgh is one of the better rebounding teams in the ACC, averaging 36.5 boards per game. Pittsburgh has lost four out of their last six games overall. Three losses came at home against Duke, UVA, and Syracuse.
Florida State has been inconsistent all year and they have not played well on the road in conference play. Pittsburgh has been in a slump as of late, but they have also played some tough competition. I think the Panthers will bounce back and win comfortably on Sunday.
