The Line: Saint Joseph's Hawks -3 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The only Atlantic 10 college basketball matchup on Tuesday will be a meeting between the Dayton Flyers and the St. Joseph’s Hawks. These teams met at the end of January, and the Hawks won 60-57 on a last-second shot.
That was the Flyers last loss, as they’ve won their last six games. During that stretch, they’re averaging 70.8 points on 44.4 percent shooting and allowing 62.4 points on 42.1 percent shooting. They haven’t allowed a team to score more than 69 points in seven straight games. They average 74.8 points and give up 72.4 points on the road. They are 13-10 ATS overall and 8-4 ATS away from home.
The Hawks have also been one of the hotter teams in the Atlantic 10, winning four in a row and six of their last seven games. In their last five games, they’re averaging 67.4 points on 45.8 percent shooting and allowing 63.4 points on 40.3 percent shooting. They’re not much of a scoring team, but are 13-2 when holding opponents under 70 points. At home, they average 71 points and allow 66.2 points. They are 12-9-1 ATS overall and 5-5-1 ATS on their home court.
This will be an interesting game between two of the hotter teams in the conference, but I have to go with the revenge factor and Dayton. The Flyers are peaking at the right time with tournament time right around the corner. They’ve also probably had this game circled on their calendar for a while now.
Dayton has won five of the last eight meetings SU against St. Joseph’s and has been money all season long ATS on the road. Meanwhile, the Hawks are just 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 games following an ATS victory.
It should be a good game, but I see Dayton winning this game SU, so I'll glady take the points on top of that.
