The Florida Gators are the hottest team in the nation and enter this week ranked second in the nation. Florida is 14-0 in the SEC and 10-2 on the road this season. Casey Prather is averaging 15.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game to lead the Gators. Scottie WIlbekin is averaging 13.8 points, Michael Frazier II is averaging 12.3 points, and Patric Young is averaging 10.8 points and 6.3 rebounds. Florida is averaging 71.3 points and they are shooting 45.8 percent while defensively they are allowing 58.7 points and their opponents are shooting 40.7 percent. Florida is looking like the number one seed in the South Regional of the NCAA Tournament.
Vanderbilt is 3-1-1 against the spread following a win, 1-3-1 against the spread in their last five home games, and 4-11 against the spread in their last 15 home games against a team with a winning road record. Florida is 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings of these two. The home team has covered the point spread in the last four meetings of these two teams.
This game is a tough call as Florida is much the better team but Vanderbilt has played well in spots. As a fan I would like to see a tight game, but as a bettor I don’t believe we see one.
