The Line: La Salle Explorers -2 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The La Salle Explorers hope to snap a five-game losing streak when they host the St. Bonaventure Bonnies. These teams played about a month ago, and St. Bonaventure won 66-51.
The Bonnies have split their last six games and are coming off of a heartbreaking loss to Rhode Island. They were outrebounded by 14 and allowed the Rams to shoot 50 percent from the field. During this inconsistent stretch, they’re averaging 75.8 points on 48.5 percent shooting and allowing 72.8 points on 45.6 percent shooting. The only thing that has been consistent is their scoring, as they’ve scored 70-plus in six of their last eight. On the road they average 73.9 points and allow 73.8 points. They are 14-11 ATS overall and 7-7 ATS on the road.

The Explorers have lost five straight games to some of the better teams in the Atlantic 10. During this losing streak, they’re averaging just 59.2 points on 38.2 percent shooting and allowing 69.2 points on 46.4 percent shooting. They’re coming off one of their worst offensive performances in a loss to Richmond, in which they made only 32.7 percent of their shots and turned the ball over 15 times. At home they average 75.4 points and allow 71.5 points. They are 5-17-1 ATS overall and 2-7-1 ATS at home.
These teams are pretty much even at both ends of the floor and are neck-and-neck in the Atlantic 10 standings. The only difference is St. Bonaventure has made you money this season, while La Salle has been fade material all season long.
There’s no point in expecting the Explorers to turn things around at this point.
The Bonnies are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following an ATS loss, and they’re 5-2 ATS in their last seven meetings against La Salle.
Give me St. Bonaventure and the points.
