Meanwhile, Miami (OH) snapped a five-game skid after a 55-52 victory over Bowling Green Sunday improving to 6-8 for 4th place in the conference. The Redhawks conceded a 39-36 rebounding advantage and converted just 11 of 20 from the free throw line, but edged the Falcons from the field 40.0 percent to 39.7 percent and from outside the arc 28.6 percent to 15.4 percent. Rick’s Pick: The line is currently set at -1.5 for Akron. Akron topped Miami 59-52 at home a month ago and, granted the Zips have hit a rough patch, dropping 3 of 5 after sitting atop the conference for a good chunk of the season. Look for Akron to make a push to get back there and cover in this one.
