The Oakland Golden Grizzlies look to take down the Green Bay Phoenix at the Athletics Center Arena.
The regular season is down to a pair of games for Green Bay and if they can win just one the Horizon title is all theirs. No sharing, no tie breakers, no nothing. The Phoenix have forged a three game winning streak in impressive fashion with each coming by at least 14 points. Valparaiso fell to the conference leaders 67-53 with defense and foul shooting paving the way. The Phoenix only sank shots at 41% but were 22-25 at the stripe with the Crusaders hitting at 36% and going to the line seven times. Keifer Sykes led all scorers with 19 points with Alec Brown adding 14 points annd eight blocks followed by a 12 point, ten rebound effort from Jordan Fouse.

Through the years Oakland has developed the reputation of a big scoring offense that strives to outscore opponents. Their MO hasn't changed much in 2013-14 although opponents have won the scoring battle too often as their record states. That wasn't the case in Friday's 86-71 rout at Illinois-Chicago that was essentially over at the half with the visitors up 45-24 with advantages throughout the boxscore. The Golden Grizzlies buried shots at 56% including 9-18 on threes and the Flames simply couldn't mantain the pace on 37% shooting. Travis Bader was the offensive star with 28 points on 4-6 from beyond the arc followed by Duke Mondy with seven pulls and eight helpers while Ralph Hill and Corey Petros netted 13 and eight points with the latter grabbing seven boards.
The danger here for Green Bay is this is on the road but the Phoenix have looked mighty impressive over their last three and if they show up they get the job done...
