The Line: Texas El Paso Miners -3 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The UTEP Miners will play their last home game of the season when they host the red hot Tulsa Golden Hurricanes.
The Golden Hurricanes have won five straight games and are wrapping up a three-game road trip. They’ve been on fire on both ends of the floor, putting themselves in position for a possible regular season title. In their last five games, they’re averaging 73.2 points on 48.3 percent shooting and allowing 53.6 points on 34 percent shooting. Sure, a lot of those wins came against poor competition, but those numbers blow their season averages out of the water. On the road they average 74.4 points and allow 74.1 points. They are 17-7 ATS overall and 9-5 ATS on the road.

The Miners return home after a two-game road trip and hope to bounce back from a loss to the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. Despite shooting 52.2 percent from the field, they turned the ball over 15 times in the loss. They’ve now split their last four games, but are still shooting 52.4 percent from the field and 40 percent from downtown in their last five contests. Defensively, they’ve allowed 64.4 points on 41.1 percent shooting. At home, they average 73.9 points and allow 66.8 points. They are 16-6 ATS overall and 7-4 ATS at home.
This is one of the tougher games to cap with the way both teams have been playing and the magnitude of the game. The winner of this matchup will still have an outside chance to win the regular season C-USA title.
However, with all that said, I have to take Tulsa and the points. Not only have they been money on the road this season, but they appear to be on a mission with the way they’ve been playing lately.
They’re 5-0 ATS in their last five road games and 6-0 ATS in their last six games following an ATS victory. The home team has covered the spread in six of the last eight meetings between these two teams, but Tulsa is riding high with confidence and could win this game SU.
I have to go with the Golden Hurricanes.
