The North Texas Mean Green could tie a season-high fourth straight win with a victory over the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners.
The Mean Green have all of a sudden found their groove, snapping five straight losses with three consecutive wins. Two of those victories were on the road, a place where they’ve struggled for much of the year. Still, the Mean Green are shooting 36.8 percent from downtown in their last five games and holding teams to 70.4 points, which is about three points less than their season average. On the road, they average 72 points and allow 76.7 points. They are 10-9-1 ATS overall and 9-4 ATS on the road.

The Roadrunners have lost six of their last seven games and are quickly falling towards the bottom of the C-USA standings. During this stretch, they’re averaging 64.2 points on 37.4 percent shooting and allowing 74 points on 44.9 percent shooting. The defense has allowed 80 or more points in four of their last seven games. They average 73.7 points and allow 78.7 points on their home court. They’re also 6-12 ATS overall and 4-4 ATS at home.
There’s some value to the Mean Green on this number considering they’re playing some of their best basketball of the season and have been a covering machine on the road. The Roadrunners have appeared to have mailed it in this season and are showing no signs of life on the defensive side of the ball.
The Mean Green are 6-2 ATS in their last eight road games, while the Roadrunners are 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall.
Take North Texas and the small chalk.
