The Brown Bears look to remain in the top half of the Ivy League with a win at the Penn Quakers.
In the up and down world of the Ivy League, Brown has alternated wins and defeats over the last six contests. The Bears escaped struggling Cornell with an 81-75 overtime decision to maintain their rip on the fourth spot in the conference. The numbers say this shouldn't have been as close with the Bears holding a 45%-38/5% shooting edge but the Big Red did with a 9-2 advantage on threes. Cedric Kuakumensah exploded for 30 points and 14 rebounds with Leland King adding 23 points and 12 boards while Steven Spieth and Sean McGonagill netted nine points apiece.

Penn might be 7-16 overall but are just a single game out of fourth which in the scope of things doesn't hold a lot of weight with the Ivy League not having a conference tournament. It does speak volumes for how unpredictable this conference can be. The Quakers ended a three game skid when whey outlasted Dartmouth 74-65 behind 49% marksmanship. The Big Green sank shots at 47% but Penn forced 14 turnovers and totaled a few more shots which turned in to points. The Quakers received 18 points and five assists from Tony Hicks followed by a 15 point, nine assist effort from Miles Cartwright with Fran Dougherty adding 13 and the duo of Henry Brooks and Steve Rennard netting eleven points each.
In a perfect world these numbers seem to be off with Penn a slight favorite but the Ivy League is not a perfect world. I'll go with the visitors but Rafael Maia has to play for me to have confidence...
