The San Diego State Aztecs will try and prove they can win on the road when they visit the Fresno State Bulldogs. These teams met back in mid-January, and San Diego State won 68-60.
The Aztecs have been a little shaky as of late, winning three of their last five games. It’s the road games that have really tripped them up, as their last three road games have either resulted in a loss or a two-point victory. That doesn’t include an overtime game that was needed to beat Utah State. On the road, the Aztecs average 66.4 points on 41.1 percent shooting and allow 62.7 points on 44.6 percent shooting. They are 14-10 ATS overall and 8-4 ATS on the road.
The Bulldogs are playing some of the best basketball in the Mountain West, winning seven of their last eight games. Just during their last five matchups, they’re averaging 74.2 points on 44.2 percent shooting and allowing 67.4 points on 43.6 percent shooting. For a team that really wasn’t known for defense, they’ve held their opponents to under 70 points in six of their last eight games. At home, they average 75.5 points and allow 70.2 points. They are 16-10-1 ATS overall and 7-6 ATS at home.
This game is a real test to see just how real this Fresno State team is. Although the recent win over Boise State was eye-opening, this game is the real measuring stick. And I think Fresno State will past the test.
The road struggles for San Diego State are real, especially for an offense that isn’t scoring. Fresno State will be up for this game, and it’ll be senior night as the last home game.
The Bulldogs are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games and are 9-0 ATS in their last nine games overall. Those are trends you must keep riding!
