The Louisville Cardinals hope to stay in the AAC title race when they face Memphis at FedEx Forum.
Louisville and Cincinnati have turned the AAC in to a two team race and the Cardinals held up their end of the bargain with an 88-66 rout of visiting Temple on Thursday for victory number seven in row. This was one of those games where UL had everything clicking like a well oiled machine with the attack sinking shots at 53% while limiting the dangerous Owls offense to 42% from the field while forcing 17 turnovers. Louisville received 24 points from Russ Smith with Montrezl Harrell adding 21 points and six pulls followed by a 19 point effort from Terry Rozier.

When you look at what Memphis has done over the past month or so they have won plenty of games but they haven't been as dominating versus the lower half of the conference where most teams are struggling. The Tigers were the struggling team in a 77-68 defeat at Houston on Thursday night as a 6.5 point favorite. Memphis hit shots at almost 47% but were only 3-13 from distance and gave the ball away 14 times. The Cougars prevailed with five more bombs and a 21-9 advantage at the charity stripe. Michael Dixon Jr. was the go to scorer with 19 points with Shaq Goodwin tossing in 16 points and grabbing ten rebounds while Austin Nichols netted 12.
Louisville is the better team but Memphis is no slouch and is strong at home. I'm inclined to back the points and just hope the Cardinals aren't in steamroll mode...
