The Southern Utah Thunderbirds battle the Montana Grizzlies in Big Sky action Saturday night at 9PM.
The Thunderbirds have emerged as the season has gone on as arguably the worst team in all of college basketball. Southern Utah won their first contest of the season and has now reeled off 25 straight losses -- an eye popping number. The Thunderbirds ranks in the bottom of the NCAA in most all categories and rank 350th overall in points per game with 58.7. They rank 347th in rebounding as well and their leading scorer, Trey Kennedy, averages just 9.5 points per game. Southern Utah fell just short of their first win in 4 months this past week with an OT loss versus Montana State.

Montana sits at 4th overall in the big sky conference and are in prime position to challenge for 2nd place in the conference -- they currently sit a ½ game out. The Grizzlies are led in all statistical categories by swingman Kareem Jamar. Jamar averages 19.5 points per game, 5.6 rebounds and just over 4 assists per game. The Grizzlies enter this contest winners of two in a row and fresh off a thrilling, one point win over Idaho State. Montana ranks 26th in the nation in field goal percentage at 47.9% shooting per game.
At this stage of the season, betting against Southern Utah is pretty much a sure fire bet. Montana is head and shoulders the better team and has been solid at home this season. I like the Grizzlies to blow this one open late and cruise to a victory behind another standout showing from Kareem Jamar. Montana with the cover and win.
