The Line: Rhode Island Rams -2 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Richmond Spiders will finish up a two-game road trip when they play the Rhode Island Rams.
The Spiders have lost two of their last three games, both of which they failed to hit the 70-point mark. Seven of their 10 losses this season have come when they haven’t reached the magic number. Still, in their last five games, they’re averaging 68.8 points on 43.8 percent shooting and allowing 63.8 points on 41.7 percent shooting. Junior guard Kendall Anthony has really taken his game to the next level, scoring at least 20 points in five of his last seven games. The Spiders 68.8 points and allow 70.2 points on the road. They are 12-14-1 ATS overall and 6-7 ATS on the road.
The Rams return from a two-game road trip and have lost eight of their last 10 games. As usual, they’re leaving points on the board, as they’re shooting just 66.7 percent from the free throw line in their last five games. That’s absolutely huge when their last two losses have been decided by three points. At home, they average 70.1 points and allow 65.7 points. They are 14-10 ATS overall and 5-5 ATS on their home court.
This is going to be a game that comes down to the wire, as neither team is really capable of scoring the basketball at will. Rhode Island is a tough team to play at home, but there’s not enough value in the small spread.
Richmond is the better team and should win the game comfortably, as they have five of the last six meetings. The Spiders are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against teams with a losing SU record, while the road team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings between these two teams.
Give me Richmond and the points.
