The Line: St. Bonaventure Bonnies -2.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The St. Bonaventure Bonnies will play their last home game of the season when they host the St. Joseph’s Hawks.
The Hawks have been red hot over the last week or so, winning five straight games and emerging as the second best team in the Atlantic 10. During their winning streak, they’re averaging 73.4 points on 50.8 percent shooting and allowing 61 points on 38 percent shooting. The defense has been good all year, but their offensive production has really made the difference in the win column. They average 71.6 points and allow 68.4 points on the road. They are 13-9-1 ATS overall and 7-4 ATS on the road.

The Bonnies have lost two in a row and four of their last seven games. These losses have a lot to do with a lack of defense, as they’re allowing 73.4 points on 47.5 percent shooting in their last five games. That doesn’t even include 38.6 percent shooting from beyond the arc. Nine of their 11 losses this season have come when they’ve allowed at least 72 points. At home, they average 74.9 points and allow 64.3 points. They are 14-12 ATS overall and 7-4 ATS on their home court.
St. Joseph’s has been playing incredible basketball, but the spread is a little too high against a St. Bonaventure team that’s capable of scoring a great deal of points. Not only that, but three of the last four road games for the Hawks has either resulted in a loss or a three-point win. Teams play St. Joseph’s tight on the road.
The Bonnies are 14-2-1 ATS in their last 17 home games against teams with a winning road record, and the home team is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings between these two teams.
I’ll take the small chalk and the Bonnies at home.
