The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets travel to Florida State to play the Seminoles on Sunday evening.
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets dropped to 13-15, 4-11 ACC after losing at Notre Dame 65-52 on Wednesday night. On the year, the Yellow Jackets have been led by Trae Golden. Golden is averaging a team-high 13.1 points and 3 assists per game for Georgia Tech. Marcus Georges-Hunt is averaging 12 points per game, while Daniel Miller is averaging 7.8 rebounds per contest. The Yellow Jackets are shooting 43.7% from the field while averaging 66.7 points per game as a team this season. Georgia Tech is a good rebounding team, averaging 36.1 boards per game. The Yellow Jackets have been inconsistent all year, having just lost three straight games for the first time this year, but they have not won two games in a row in conference play this year. Georgia Tech will be on the road again where they have lost three of their last four games.

The Florida State Seminoles improved to 16-11, 7-8 ACC after beating Pittsburgh on the road 71-66 last Sunday. On the year, sophomore Aaron Thomas leads the Seminoles with 13.6 points per game. Okaro White is averaging a second-best 12.7 points per game while also averaging a team-high 6.6 rebounds per contest. Senior Ian Miller is averaging 13.5 points per game as well and he also averages a team-high 3 assists per game. The Seminoles average 71.2 points per game while shooting an impressive 46.4% from the field as a team this season. Florida State is an average rebounding team at best, pulling down 35.8 boards per game. The Seminoles have lost five out of their last eight games and have not won back to back games since January 12th. Florida State will be at home where they have lost three out of their last four games.
Both of these teams have been inconsistent all year and this sets up to be a competitive game with not much to play for. Florida State has more talent then Georgia Tech in my opinion, along with more size and strength in the front court. Georgia Tech relies on Trae Golden too much and the Seminoles will prove to be too much on Saturday. I’m rolling with the Seminoles to win and cover at home.
