The Line: George Washington Colonials -12 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The George Washington Colonials hope to get back on track Sunday afternoon when they host the George Mason Patriots. These teams played back in mid-January, and George Washington won by a score of 75-69.
The Patriots have been playing some of their best basketball of the season, winning three of their last five games. During that stretch, they’re averaging 78.4 points on 49.5 percent shooting and allowing 76.4 points on 43.1 percent shooting. Senior guard Sherrod Wright has really taken over as of late, scoring at least 20 points in four of his last five games. On the road, the Patriots average 71.5 points and allow 73.8 points. They are 11-13 ATS overall and 7-6 ATS on the road.

The Colonials have run into a bit of a cold streak, losing three of their last four games and four of their last seven. During this stretch, they’re averaging 72.2 points on 43.9 percent shooting and are allowing 71.4 points on 44 percent shooting. They’re a team that prides itself at both ends of the floor, but five of their seven losses have come when they’ve failed to score 70 points. They don’t have to worry about that at home, a place where they average 79 points and allow 62.2 points. They are 15-7 ATS overall and 6-2 ATS at home.
George Washington should have no problem ending its losing skid, but double-digit points is a lot to give a George Mason team that’s playing with confidence. The Patriots have covered five of their last six road games and four of their last five games overall. Not to mention they played the Colonials pretty close in their earlier meeting.
The Patriots have been in close games all year, the only difference is they’ve found ways to win them as of late.
