The Line: Kent State Golden Flashes -6 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Kent State Golden Flashes will host the Miami of Ohio RedHawks Tuesday night. These teams met back in mid-February, and Kent State won 75-63.
The RedHawks haven’t had much success lately, losing six of their last eight games. During their last five matchups, they’re averaging 59 points on 40 percent shooting and are allowing 66.8 points on 45.2 percent shooting. The offense has scored 65 or fewer points in their last six games. They’re also one of the worst rebounding teams in the country, averaging 31.1 boards on the season and just 25.6 boards in their last five games. On the road, they average 61.5 points and allow 70.1 points. They are 14-11 ATS overall and 8-6 ATS on the road.
The Flashes have won four of their last six games and are returning from a two-game road trip. During this stretch, their offense has improved drastically, as they’re averaging 73.6 points on 48.1 percent shooting and are allowing 70 points on 42.7 percent shooting. Their shooting percentage as of late is a huge improvement from their 43.3 percent shooting they average on the season. At home they average 70.6 points and allow 68.4 points. They are 12-14 ATS overall and 4-10 ATS on their home court.
The Golden Flashes have been anything but money at home, but they’ve been playing much better basketball as of late and should be about to cover the number against a RedHawks squad that can’t score. After all, the RedHawks are 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 meetings that have taken place in Kent State.
Neither team has been great against the spread, but Kent State has won the last three meetings by double digits. I see no reason why that trend can’t continue.
Take the Golden Flashes.
