The Central Florida Knights head to snowy Philadelphia to face the Temple Owls on Tuesday night.
As the season winds down to the final two games of the year the goal for Central Florida is to remain out of the conference basement. Even wins in both contests won't change their positioning all that much but perhaps that would give the team a confidence builder for the playoffs. The Knights could use some confidence after falling at Southern Methodist 70-55 on Saturday. UCF was did in by 37.5% shooting and 14 turnovers with a 4-19 effort on threes hurting the most. Isaiah Sykes was the go to scorer with 18 points and five yanks with Kasey Williams adding eleven points and five pulls.

Temple is suffering through one of their poorest seasons in my memory as their defense has struggled the majority of the 2013-13 and the scoring has not been able to keep pace. That was exactly the case in an 89-79 defeat at the hands of visiting Houston on Saturday night. The Cougars simply outshot the home team 61.5%-44.6% with 13 more looks at the basket still not enough to get the Owls in the win column. Dalton Pepper was the big gun for the attack with 24 points followed by an 18 point, eight assist performance from Will Cummings with Quenton DeCosey and Mark Williams tossing in 12 and eight points.
This is Temple's last home game and I would expect an all out effort to get the win. Laying points isn't exactly ideal because the Owls are simply not very good and I'm just picking them, not betting them...
