The Army Black Knights travel to Sojka Pavilion to face the Bucknell Bison in a Patriot quarterfinal.
Army looked like a sure fire lock to land a spot in the top four of the Patriot until the last month or so where the bottom fell out. The Black Knights finished fifth in the conference at 10-8 with a 2-5 finish. In this stretch sometimes the scoring came through and sometimes it was the defense with both struggling to get on the same page. The Black Knights like to push the pace a bit which means consistent scoring is a necessity. If depth is a factor the rotation can go nine deep with Kyle Wilson one of the more dangerous offensive players in the league at over 19 points with several capable of cracking DD.

Bucknell looks to repeat as the king of the Patriot League which probably was furthest from the minds of most experts after losing a ton of talent. That still looked like a long shot before the Bison suddenly caught fire with six consecutive victories to close the season with their best run of the year. Whatever this team does on the scoreboard is sometimes not important although points have to be scored. It's the Bison defense that can shut down opposing attacks that combines with their ability to control the pace that defines this team. Offensively Cameron Ayers is the top gun at 15.5 points and if he gets some help, this is a dangerous team.
This will be the Army offense versus the defense of Bucknell. Army was banged up but is healthy so whoever controls the pace advances. With the points the Black Knights look capable...
