The Rutgers Scarlet Knights travel to Connecticut looking to throw a Monkey Wrench in to the playoff plans of the Huskies.
Rutgers dismal season received a small boost with a last second 74-73 victory over visiting South Florida. That put an end to a four game slide and gives the Scarlet Knights the opportunity to win consecutive AAC contests for the first time. RU received just enough from both ends of the floor as they came from ten down despite 39% shooting as they committed just four turnovers and hit 20-22 free throws . The one, two punch of Kadeem Jack and JJ Moore paced the scoring with 20 points apiece with Moore snagging seven pulls followed by the duo Wally Judge and Myles Mack with eight points each.

Connecticut can stay in the top four of the AAC or drop to fifth depending on what they accomplish in their final two games. Regardless of what happens the Huskies will be a dangerous team in the playoffs as they own a pair of victories over Memphis and are coming off of a 51-45 decision over Cincinnati that prevented the Bearcats from taking sole possession of first. Defense was the name of the game with UConn sinking shots at a 31% pace with Cincy held to 27% and forced in to 20 giveaways which turned in to a few more baskets and free throws for the Huskies. Shabazz Napier came uo big at the offensive end with a high of 18 points to go with 12 rebounds while Lasan Kromah tossed in nine more.
Well...another huge spread that could easily be covered or Connecticut could get up by double figures and call it a day. Not one I really like so I'll go with potential...
