The Loyola of Chicago Ramblers and Bradley Braves will play for the third time in about a month. The Braves won the first meeting on February 6, 63-54, and won the second meeting on February 22, 55-38.
The Ramblers have lost their last six games and nine of their last 10. Just in their last five games, they’re averaging 60.4 points on 41.4 percent shooting and are allowing 72 points on 49 percent shooting. Defense has actually been their bread and butter, as they allow 68.5 points on 45 percent shooting on the season, however, that hasn’t been the case lately. Offensively, they have only two guys who average double-digit points, and they rely extremely heavily on their starting five. On neutral sites, the Ramblers average 67 points and allow 68 points. They are 9-18-1 ATS overall.

The Braves haven’t been so hot either, losing five of their last eight games. However, two of those wins came against the Ramblers. On the season, the Braves average 63.4 points on 41.6 percent shooting and allowed 65.8 points on 43.4 percent shooting. They’re one of the best defensive teams in the country, as they average seven steals and force close to 13 turnovers per game. Offensively, senior guard Walt Lemon Jr. is their go-to guy, as he’s scored in the double figures in 19 straight games. On neutral sites, the Braves have averaged 58 points and allowed 72.3 points. They are 10-17-1 ATS overall.
Looking at the numbers, neither team has been all that impressive, but I’m not sure how you go against the Braves in a pick’em game. They’ve won fairly easily in both meetings and have covered in five of the last seven meetings against the Ramblers.
The Ramblers are just 4-14 SU in conference play.
Is this a joke?
Give me Bradley all day long.
