The Line: CS Northridge Matadors +2.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Cal State Northridge Matadors will play their last regular season game when they host the Long Beach State 49ers. These teams played back on January 25, and the 49ers won 76-62.
The 49ers have won three of their last five games and are making a strong push heading into the Big West Tournament. During this stretch, they’re averaging 71.2 points on 47.9 percent shooting and are allowing 66.4 points on 43.3 percent shooting. Their offensive production has really improved over the last week, as this is a team that averages under 70 points and shoots less than 43 percent on the season. On the road, they average 70.5 points and allow 74.1 points. They are 14-10-2 ATS overall and 10-5-1 ATS on the road.

The Matadors continue this brutal stretch that they’re on, as they’ve now lost 10 of their last 14 games. On the season, they’re averaging 75.4 points and shoot 45 percent from the field, but they’re allowing teams to score 77.7 points on 45.7 percent shooting. Their defense has really hit an all-time low lately, allowing 82 or more points in three of their last four games. They are 4-7 SU when allowing 80 or more points. At home, the Matadors average 78.2 points and allow 73.4 points. They are 10-13 ATS overall and 5-3 ATS at home.
The 49ers are the more balanced team, but this is the last home game for the Matadors, and it is also senior night. One of their best players in Josh Greene will be playing his last game, so you can expect the building to be rocking and for there to be a lot of emotion for the home team.
Given the circumstances, I have to take the points on this one. Not to mention the Matadors have covered their last four home games.
If the shots are falling, the 49ers have no chance.
