The Princeton Tigers will look to continue their domination over the Cornell Big Red when they meet on Friday. These teams played back on February 8, and Princeton won 69-48.
The Tigers have won five of their last seven games and are doing so with remarkable defense. Already considered one of the best defensive teams in the Ivy League, they’re holding teams to just 58.4 points on 37.8 percent shooting in their last five games. They haven’t allowed a 70-point performance in eight straight games. Offensively, they average 70.3 points on the season. On the road, the Tigers average 72.3 points and allow 70.3 points. They are 9-10 ATS overall and 7-4 ATS on the road.

After a win over Dartmouth, the Big Red have now lost five straight games to add to their terrible season. During this stretch, they’re averaging 61.8 points on 41.4 percent shooting and are allowing 77.8 points on 51.4 percent shooting. They don’t play well on either side of the ball, which has led to nine of their last 12 losses being decided by double digits. At home, they average 68.3 points and give up 78.2 points. They are 9-8-2 ATS overall and 3-3 ATS at home.
It’s no secret that Cornell is one of the worst teams in all of college basketball. The Big Red do absolutely nothing right on either side of the ball and are just 1-5 ATS when being considered a 17-point or more underdog. That’s why you have to go with Princeton or pass on this play all together.
The Tigers won the last meeting by 21 points and have won the last four meetings well past double digits, making them 4-0 ATS against the Big Red.
Sure, the chalk is a lot for a road team, but the Tigers shouldn’t have a problem covering against such a lousy team.
