The Richmond Spiders and Dayton Flyers will finish up their regular season on Saturday. When these teams met back on January 18, the Spiders won 73-64.
Since then, the Spiders have been in a bit of a funk, losing four of their last five games. During this stretch, they’re averaging 56 points on 35.1 percent shooting and are allowing 62.6 points on 42.5 percent shooting. The defensive intensity is still there, but we’re talking about an offense that has scored 50 or less points in two straight games. On the road, the Spiders average 66.7 points and give up 69.8 points. They are 12-15-2 ATS overall and 6-8 ATS on the road.

The Flyers have won eight of their last nine games and are coming off a monster road win over the Saint Louis Billikens. In the win, they shot 47.2 percent from the field and grabbed 36 rebounds. They’re averaging eight more rebounds than their opponents in their last five games and have held eight of their last 10 opponents to under 70 points. At home, the Flyers average 73.6 points and allow 64.5 points. They are 15-11 ATS overall and 6-6 ATS on their home court.
The Spiders are a sleeper team to watch when playing well, but that hasn’t been the case lately. Not only are they having a hard time scoring, but they’ve lost four of their last five road games. On top of that, they’re an ugly 1-6 ATS in their last seven road games.
The Flyers are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against teams with a winning SU record, and they’re fresh off their biggest win of the season. You can expect them to take that confidence and ride it in front of their home fans.
Look for a solid win from the Flyers and another spread cover.
