The George Washington Colonials hope to enter the Atlantic 10 tournament with some momentum when they play the Fordham Rams on Saturday. When these teams met on February 8, the Colonials won 93-67.
The Colonials have shown some chinks in their armor lately, splitting their last six games. During that stretch, they’re averaging 67 points on 39.4 percent shooting and are allowing 65.4 points on 44.7 percent shooting. Ironically, those numbers are in the ballpark of their season averages. On the road, they average 70.2 points and give up 71.8 points. They are 16-8 ATS overall and 9-5 ATS on the road.

The Rams have been a mess over the last month, losing seven straight games. On the season, they average 71.9 points on 39.7 percent shooting and allow 78.4 points on 46.1 percent shooting. They’ve allowed 12 teams this season to score 80-plus points, which isn’t good when they’re shooting less than40 percent offensively. At home, the Rams average 75.9 points and allow 73.3 points. They are 9-13-1 ATS overall and 6-4 ATS at home.
It’s nearly impossible to back the Rams with the way they’ve been playing, as they’re 1-6 ATS in their last seven conference games. You can make a ton of money simply by fading this team.
Why stop now?
The favorite is 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings between these two teams, while the Colonials are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games overall.
George Washington needs a confidence booster heading into the tournament and beating up Fordham will do the trick.
