The Connecticut Huskies finish the regular season at the KFC Yum! Center against the Louisville Cardinals.
Connecticut will play their final conference game Saturday and they have to win at Louisville to secure a spot in the top four. The Huskies have won three in a row capped off by a 69-63 decision versus visiting Rutgers on Wednesday where they couldn't put away the gritty Scarlet Knights. UConn fired away at 47% from the floor and went 12-25 from distance but the visitors hung tough with their 44% marksmanship. Shabazz Napier rescued the offense with a game high 26 points followed by Niels Giffey with 16 but production outside these two was scarce.

Things are straight forward for Louisville; win Saturday and you can do no worse then tie for the top spot in the AAC. The Cardinals showed no signs of a hangover from their loss at Memphis as they went to Southern Methodist and came away with an 84-71 victory to keep them in a first place tie with Cincinnati. A 52 point second half run carried the day with 46% shooting and a 13-23 mark from the perimeter off setting the Mustangs own 51% accuracy that included only three bombs. Russ Smith led all scorers with 26 points, six yanks and five helpers with Chris Jones adding 21 points and six steals followed by Montrezl Harrell and Luke Hancock with 19 and 15 points.
I don't expect Connecticut to win as this hasn't been a great match up for them. Sometimes I can't figure the Huskies out but all I can say here is show some pride with this double figure spread and at least battle...
