The Michigan Wolverines and the Indiana Hoosiers face off on Saturday in Ann Arbor in Big Ten college basketball.
The Michigan Wolverines have won four games in a row and have clinched the regular season Big Ten Title. Michigan is 14-3 in the Big 10 and 12-2 at home this season. Nik Stauskas leads he Wolverines averaging 17.3 points per game. Caris LeVert is averaging 13.4 points, Glenn Robinson III is averaging 13 points, and Derrick Walton Jr. is averaging 8.3 points. Michigan is averaging 75.2 points and they are shooting 48 percent while defensively they are allowing 64.7 points and their opponents are shooting 43.7 percent. Michigan will say goodbye to several of their strong contributors in their recent success.

The Indiana Hoosiers are coming off of a home loss to Nebraska as they wind down what has been a rebuilding season. Indiana is 7-10 in the Big 10, 3-9 away from home, and 3-5 against teams ranked in the top 25. Kevin Yogi Ferrell is averaging 17.4 points to lead the Hoosiers. Noah Vonleh is averaging 11.6 points and 9.1 rebounds, Will Sheehy is averaging 11.2 points, and Troy Williams is averaging 6.9 points. Indiana is averaging 72.6 points and they are shooting 44.6 percent while defensively they are allowing 67.1 points and their opponents are shooting 41 percent. Indiana should have a post season but it won’t be in the NCAA Tournament.
Michigan is 7-2-1 against the spread in their last 10 home games, 2-5 against the spread following a win, and 1-4 against the spread following a game that they covered the spread. Indiana is 6-2 against the spread following a loss, 1-4 against the spread in their last eight road games, and 1-4 against the spread in their last five road games against a team with a winning home record. Indiana has covered the point spread in eight of their last 11 games at Michigan.
This is a big number but it is merited here as Michigan is much the better team and the better option.
