The Saint Francis Red Flash and Robert Morris Colonials will meet Saturday afternoon in a conference semifinal matchup that will send the winner to the Northeast championship. The Colonials won the previous two meetings.
The Red Flash are participating in this game due to a last-second 55-54 victory over Bryant. In the win, they shot 40 percent from the field and grabbed 34 rebounds. Forward Ronnie Drinnon led the way with scoring 20 of his team’s points. He also grabbed 18 rebounds, pretty much winning the game by himself for the Red Flash. He’ll certainly need more help if they’re to beat the Colonials. On the season, the Red Flash are 1-0 ATS.

The Colonials took care of business a little easier, as they beat Fair Dickinson 60-53. In their win, they shot 46.8 percent from the field and held their opponent to just 36.4 percent shooting, including 3-17 from beyond the arc. Lucky Jones led the way with 19 points and seven rebounds, while Anthony Myers-Pate chipped in 10 points. They’ll need to clean up their style of play offensively, however, as they turned the ball over 16 times. Robert Morris is now 2-3 ATS on the season.
While the Colonials weren’t overly impressive in their first tournament win, they’re still clearly the better team in this matchup. The Red Flash got pretty much zero production out of anyone not named Drinnon, which simply isn’t going to fly in this matchup.
Robert Morris won the previous meetings by five and six points. When you combine what’s on the line, the margin of victory should be a lot greater, especially with the Red Flash struggling mightily on the offensive end.
The Colonials are 5-0 ATS in their last five games following an ATS loss.
You can expect a 15-point victory in this one.
