The Georgetown Hoyas seek a much needed win as they visit the #6 Villanova Wildcats at 2PM Sunday on Fox Sports One.
Georgetown got a huge win and honestly, the type of win the Hoyas have been getting all year as they defeated 19th ranked Creighton 75-63 this past Tuesday. D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera led the way with 18 points and 12 boards from the 2 guard slot and the Hoyas held the Creighton shooting attack in check all night long. Four Hoyas starters reached double figures and Markel Starks led the way with 11 assists for Georgetown. With the win, the Hoyas sit at 8-9 in the conference and despite plenty quality wins, they remain on the outside of the bubble.

Villanova all but wrapped the conference title up on Thursday night with a win against the Xavier Musketeers on the road 77-70. Darrun Hilliard had his second straight big game with 19 points to lead all Wildcat scorers and the Wildcats led the entire contest for the win. Villanova was 22-28 at the line and had 17 team assists in the win. Pinkston and Bell combined for 27 for Villanova and four players saw action on the bench and added about 20 points. The win keeps the Wildcats in first place and moved them 15-2 and 27-3 overall.
Georgetown is in desperate need of a win and even though the Hoyas have some quality wins this year in road contests, the Wildcats are the class of the league and a bad matchup for the Hoyas. I like this one to be close throughout and the Wildcats to pull away late for the cover and an impressive 16-2 finish in conference play.
