The Bowling Green Falcons take the floor with the Northern Illinois Huskies on Monday night.
Bowling Green has played a number of close games and could have a better record but they are in need of momentum now after dropping three straight games by double figures. An 88-65 defeat at Buffalo might have been a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time with UB ahead by ten at the break behind 49% shooting too much for the 45% shooting Falcons who gave the ball away 15 times. Cameron Black led the offense with 19 points and eleven rebounds with Jehvon Clarke and Spencer Parker combining for 20 points.

Northern Illinois has been improved in 2013-14 but they could make this a very good season for them with a few wins giving them a winning record which would also mean a strong postseason. NIU made things difficult for themselves with consecutive defeats before routing Ball State 70-57 on Saturday. Both teams connected in the 42%-43% range but 19 Bowling Green giveaways combining with a few more Huskies field goals and foul shots was decisive. Darrell Bowie was top scorer with 17 points with Aaron Armstead adding eleven while Aaric Armstead and JJ Cravatta netted nine points apiece.
Bowling Green has been tough in this match up but I think Northern Illinois has the edge this season and I'm inclined to back them here...
