The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets improved to 15-16, 6-12 ACC after beating Virginia Tech at home 62-51 last weekend. On the year, the Yellow Jackets have been led by Trae Golden. Golden is averaging a team-high 12.9 points and 3.1 assists per game for Georgia Tech. Marcus Georges-Hunt is averaging 11.6 points per game, while Daniel Miller is averaging 7.9 rebounds per contest. The Yellow Jackets are shooting 43.4% from the field while averaging 66.5 points per game as a team this season. Georgia Tech is a good rebounding team, averaging 35.8 boards per game. The Yellow Jackets have been inconsistent all year, having bounced back after just losing four straight games for the first time this year, and finally winning two games in a row in conference play this past weekend. Georgia Tech is 3-6 on the road in conference play and 0-2 on neutral courts this season.
Georgia Tech beat Boston College twice this year, at home by 3 points and on the road by 8 points. In college basketball, it’s extremely hard to beat a team three times in one season. However, Boston College just isn’t that good to say the least and they rely on the three-ball way too much. If the Eagles can get hot from behind the arc then they have a great chance of winning. I just can’t rely on that happening, so I’m going to back the better team in Georgia Tech.
