The Dee Events Center hosts the Big Sky playoff match up between Portland State and Montana.
Parity hit the Big Sky in 2013-14 with seven teams totaling between 8-10 losses and Portland State fit right in at 11-9 for a 5th place yie with Northern Colorado. The Vikings have been an afterthought for awhile but a season ending hot streak probably opened some eyes with wins in five of six including one against regular season champion Weber State. PSU has seen the offense score at least 77 points four times in this span and scoring is what this team does and has to do to win. Portland State is well armed in the offense department with three DD scorers and three others that will crack ten points on any given night.

Montana is no stranger at the top of the conference standings although they weren't given a ton of thought after losing talent from a season ago. However, the Grizzlies have exceeded expectations in my view with a year ending 9-3 run to forge a second place tie with North Dakota at 12-8. Montana has outscored opponents 71-69 with the offense hitting at 47.7% from the floor and the defense allowing the same which are hefty numbers. Having said that, the Grizzlies have picked up defensively six times out with 61 points or less given up in five wins. We still can't forget about their own scoring where Kareem Jamar is one of the top threats in the conference at almost 19 points.
I'm inclined to side with the points but I think the over might be worth a look when released because it's 14-4-1 in the last 19 meetings...
