The UCLA Bruins and the Oregon Ducks face off on Thursday in Las Vegas in the Pac-12 college basketball tournament.
The UCLA Bruins had a bye in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament but they lost three of their final five games of the season. UCLA is 12-6 in the Pac-12 and 7-6 away from home this season. Jordan Adams is averaging 17.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game to lead the Bruins. Kyle Anderson is averaging 14.9 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 6.6 assists, Norman Powell is averaging 10.9 points, and Zach LaVine is averaging 10.5 points. UCLA is averaging 82 points and they are shooting 48.6 percent while defensively they are allowing 71.4 points and their opponents are shooting 42.9 percent. UCLA was in and out of the rankings all season.

The Oregon Ducks knocked off Oregon State on Wednesday in their first round Pac-12 Tournament game that was also the eighth win in a row for the Ducks. Oregon is 11-8 in the Pac-12 and 7-5 in games played away from home. Joseph Young leads the Ducks averaging 18.2 points per game. Mike Moser is averaging 13.7 points and 8.2 rebounds, Jason Calliste is averaging 12.5 points, and Damyean Dotson is averaging 10.1 points. Oregon is averaging 82.3 points and they are shooting 46.6 percent while defensively they are allowing 73.7 points and their opponents are shooting 43.4 percent. Oregon looks to be firmly in the NCAA Tournament field.
UCLA is 12-3 against the spread in their last 15 games following a game that they didn’t cover the spread, 9-22 against the spread in their last 31 neutral site games, and 1-4 against the spread in their last five games. Oregon is 5-0-1 against the spread in their last six games, 7-0-1 against the spread in their last eight neutral site games, and 3-0-1 against the spread against a team with a winning record. The underdog has covered the point spread in five of the last six meetings of these two.
This one is a pick'em and th Ducks are just playing better basketball right now and are my pick.
