The Toledo Rockets and Eastern Michigan Eagles butt heads in the MAC semifinals on Friday.
Toledo easily has the best offense in the conference and in the nation as well. It was their ability to score the basketball that lifted them to a first place tie in the MAC with Western Michigan and by looking over their record it's their ticket to move on. The Rockets fast paced attack also means opponents do plenty of scoring as well so if the defense can somehow get stops Toledo might be a dangerous squad if the shots are falling. This team will lean on the nucleus of Julius Brown, Justin Drummond and Rian Pearson who each average over 14 points.

Buffalo appeared to be heading for the conference semifinals as they grew a three point lead at the half in to a double figure bulge coming out of the locker room. Eastern Michigan had other plans as they stiffened on defense and exploded on offense in a 69-64 victory. The Eagles held the Bulls to 35% from the field and held leading scorer Javon McCrea to only seven points. Karrington Ward gave the offense 19 points and grabbed seven boards Mike Talley tossing in 12 followed by nine point performances from Ray Lee and Glenn Bryant with Bryant snagging another seven rebounds.
What a difference in styles with Toledo wanting a track meet and Eastern Michigan wanting an ugly 50-49 game. Depending on the spread the Eagles might interest me...
