Iowa State Cyclones vs. Baylor Bears Big 12 Tournament Pick, Odds, Prediction 3/15/14

Jim Cowsert-USA TODAY Sports

The Baylor Bears have gotten hot at the right time as they continued their strong play on Friday stomping Texas to advance to this game. Baylor is 13-9 in Big 12 play, 7-1 in neutral site games, and 2-6 against teams ranked in the top 25. Corey Jefferson is averaging 13.8 points and 8.4 rebounds per game to lead the Bears. Brady Heslip is averaging 11.7 points, Kenny Cherry is averaging 11.4 points and 5.0 assists, and Isaiah Austin is averaging 11 points and 5.5 rebounds. Baylor is averaging 75.5 points and they are shooting 45.7 percent while defensively they are allowing 68.2 points and their opponents are shooting 42.2 percent. Baylor has won six games in a row and 10 of their last 11.

Iowa State is 4-1 against the spread in their last five neutral site games, 5-2 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 1-8 against the spread in their last nine Saturday games. Baylor is 5-1 against the spread against the Big 12, 4-1 against the spread following a win, and 4-0 against the spread against a team with a winning record. The favorite has covered the point spread in five of the last six meetings of these two.

The total is 149 and climbing and I can still see it going over that number. My stronger play is on who will cover the spread and I will post that pick in the Premium Area as well as on the App.
