As expected, the New Mexico Lobos and San Diego State Aztecs will meet again, this time for the MWC tournament title. These teams split the regular season meetings, which includes a 51-48 come from behind victory on March 8 that gave the Aztecs the regular season title.
The Aztecs have won six straight games are coming off a hard fought 59-51 win over UNLV. During the win, they grabbed 13 offensive rebounds, forced 13 turnovers and held the Rebels to 41.3 percent shooting. Dwayne Poole II led the team with 18 points off the bench. They haven’t allowed more than 67 points in their last nine games and are 18-11 ATS overall.

The Lobos also earned a well-deserved win, as they beat Boise State 70-67 in the final seconds. Their victory included holding an explosive Broncos’ offense to 39.3 percent shooting. Of course, star forward Cameron Bairstow led the way with 23 points and eight rebounds. On the season, the Lobos average 75 points on 46.2 percent shooting and allow 66.6 points on 39 percent shooting. They’ve allowed 58 or fewer points in six of their last eight games and are 16-12 ATS overall.
The Lobos are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games overall and 10-3 ATS in their last 13 following an ATS win. The Aztecs are 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five following a SU win. The Lobos are 4-0 ATS in their last four meetings against the Aztecs, while the favorite is 6-1 in the last seven meetings.
I love the Lobos in this spot, as this is a major revenge game for them. Take the point.
