The Florida Gators and Pittsburgh Panthers will meet in the third round of the NCAA tournament.

On the season, the Panthers average 72.6 points on 46.3 percent shooting and allow 61.9 points on 41.1 percent shooting. Pittsburgh has been an inconsistent team throughout the year, but has won four of its last five games and is shooting 48.4 percent during that stretch. The Pittsburgh Panthers are 13-17-2 ATS overall this season.
The Florida Gators had a little trouble in the second round game, but was still able to beat Albany, 67-55. The Gators shot 51 percent from the field and had five players scoring in the double figures. On the season, Florida averages 70.6 points on 46.3 percent shooting and allows 57.9 points on 39.9 percent shooting. The Gators have not allowed more than 65 points in their last eight games and are shooting 49.4 percent in their last five games. Before wagering, make sure to check the status of guard Kasey Hill, who is questionable with a toe injury. The Florida Gators are 16-14-1 ATS overall.
The Panthers are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 neutral site games. The Gators are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 vs. Atlantic Coast and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
Thursday’s close game against a 16-seed was a wakeup call for Florida. You won’t see the Gators come out flat against a quality opponent this time around. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh has been so inconsistent throughout the year it’s a team that’s been tough to back.
With that said, I’ll take the best team in the tournament and the chalk.
