The Texas Longhorns and the Michigan Wolverines face off on Saturday for the right to move on to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament.

The Texas Longhorns battled for 40 minutes with Arizona State on Thursday and the game wasn’t decided until the final second with a tip in that was the difference maker. Cameron Ridley was the star for the Horns with the game winner as part of his 17 points. Denarcus Hollabd scored 14 points, Martez Walker had 16 points, and Javan Felix, Jonathan Holmes, and Isaiah Taylor all had 11 points. Texas shot 53.4 percent hitting 56.5 percent of their two-point shots and 41.7 percent from beyond the three-point arc. Texas hit just 74.1 percent from the free throw line, a number that they need to improve on if they plan on advancing.

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

The Michigan Wolverines are looking to make it back to the finals where they were a year ago and they got past the first round with a 17-point win over Wofford. Michigan struggled at times but in the end were able to pull away from the feisty Terriers. Nik Stuaskas led the Wolverines on Thursday scoring 15 points. Glenn Robinson III scored 14 points, Jordan Morgan scored 10 points, and Derrick Walton Jr. and Caris LeVert each scored six points. Michigan shot 47.8 percent from the floor going 51.7 percent from two-point territory and 41.2 percent from beyond the three-point arc. Michigan shot just 66.7 percent from the free throw line.

Texas is 7-1 against the spread against the Big Ten, 0-5 against the spread in their last five NCAA Tournament games, and 1-5 against the spread in their last six games. Michigan is 6-1 against the spread against the Big 12, 6-1 against the spread in their last seven NCAA Tournament games, and 1-6 against the spread following a game that they covered the point spread.

Texas was in a track meet against ASU but look for this one to be slower paced and for it to come in under the total.

My stronger play is on who will cover the spread and I will post that in the Premium Area as well as on the App.
