The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks and UCLA Bruins will play Sunday night for a spot in the Sweet 16.

Stephen F. Austin made an incredible comeback to beat the VCU Rams in overtime. In the 77-75 upset win, the Lumberjacks shot 52.9 percent from the field and won the rebounding margin 35-29. On the season, Stephen F. Austin averages 75.9 points on 46.3 percent shooting and allows 63.4 points on 45.7 percent shooting. The Lumberjacks shoot a solid 70.9 percent from the free throw line 34.9 percent from three, but they average just 33.8 rebounds per game. The Lumberjacks are led by junior forward Jacob Parker, who averages 14.4 points and 7 rebounds. The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks are 2-1 ATS overall.

The Bruins also shoot 75.2 percent from the free throw line and 38.9 percent from downtown. UCLA is led by sophomore Kyle Anderson, who averages 14.7 points and 8.8 rebounds. Defensively, UCLA grabs 35.6 rebounds per game. The UCLA Bruins are 22-12 ATS overall. 

The Lumberjacks are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 non-conference games. The Bruins are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 neutral site games. 

Stephen F. Austin is a team that hasn’t lost a game since November, and doesn’t get rattled easily. UCLA is a young team that can be beaten when the three ball isn’t falling. With that said, I’ll take the Lumberjacks and the points.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Stephen F. Austin was this year’s Florida Gulf Coast and made a run towards the Sweet 16, and 8.5 points is more than enough for me to bite.
