The Line: Wisconsin Badgers -3.5 -- Over/Under: 137.5 See the Latest Odds
The Baylor Bears and the Wisconsin Badgers face off on Thursday in Anaheim in a NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen battle to go to the Elite Eight in West Regional.
The Baylor Bears have been one of the hottest teams in the nation winning 13 of their last 15 games and most of those wins coming in decisive fashion. Baylor knocked of Nebraska in their NCAA Tourney opener 74-60 and followed it up with an 85-55 beat down of number three seed Creighton. Cory Jefferson leads the Bears averaging 13.6 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. Brady Heslip is averaging 11.9 points, Kenny Cherry is averaging 11.5 points, and Isaiah Austin is averaging 11.2 points and 5.5 rebounds. Baylor is averaging 75.4 points and they are shooting 45.9 percent while defensively they are allowing 67.8 points and their opponents are shooting 42.3 percent. Baylor looked sloppy and at times disinterested early in the season but over the past two months they have been focused and playing to their ability and right now are playing as well as anyone. When Baylor has thrived has been when they have been ben able to jump on their opponents early and gotten out to insurmountable leads.

The Wisconsin Badgers played one of the toughest schedules in the nation this season and it has helped them get to this spot in the NCAA Tournament and a number two seed in the West. Wisconsin opened March Madness with a win over American by 40 points and then followed it up with a gutsy 85-77 win over Oregon in a game that they trailed and then was tight most of the way. Frank Kaminsky leads the Badgers averaging 13.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Sam Dekker is averaging 12.7 points and 6.2 rebounds, Ben Brust is averaging 13 points, and Traevon Jackson is averaging 10.8 points. Wisconsin is averaging 73.9 points and they are shooting 46 percent from the field while defensively they are allowing 64.1 points and their opponents are shooting 43.1 percent. Wisconsin has shown the ability to come back and win like they did against Oregon but the biggest feathers in their cap are the wins over one seeds Florida and West Virginia earlier this season.
Baylor is 4-1 against the spread in their last five games, 11-4 against the spread in their last 15 non-conference games, and 6-1 against the spread against a team with a winning record. Wisconsin is 7-1 against the spread against the Big 12, 6-1 against the spread in their last seven neutral site games, and 5-1 against the spread in their last six NCAA Tournament games.
The total in this one is set at 137.5 and I see it going higher than that as both teams can put points on the board with each of them scoring 85 points in their second round games so my free pick is on the over. I also have a pick on who will cover the spread and I will post that in the Premium Area as well as on the App.
