The fans will be in for a treat when the #2 Wisconsin Badgers clash with the #1 Arizona Wildcats.
There were times in 2013-14 that I thought the trademark defense Wisconsin has been known for wasn't quite as ferocious but at the same time I also thought the team was more offensively oriented then in prior years. Whatever the case the Badgers have adapted and are in the Elite Eight and looking for more. Baylor was supposed to be a tough challenge in their Sweet 16 match up but it wasn't close in their 69-52 rout that was 29-16 after 20 minutes. Wisky connected at 52% and limited the Bears to 31.6% shooting and 2-15 from long range which equated to eight more field goals. Frank Kaminsky led all scorers with 19 points and six blocks with Ben Brust and Nigel Hayes adding 14 and ten points and six pulls each.

Nobody is surprised Arizona is in the Elite Eight as this team was widely considered the best team in the nation throughout the year. The Wildcats can score and defend and win in any number of ways. Weber State and Gonzaga were really no contest but San Diego State was a different story with Zona pulling away in the final minutes with Nick Johnson taking over with his 10-10 mark at the foul line. The Wildcats hit at 48% from the field and held the Aztecs to 39% in an otherwise even contest with Johnson and Aaron Gordon tossing in 15 points apiece and combining for 14 rebounds while Rondae Hollis-Jefferson added another 15 points and six yanks followed by an eleven point effort from TJ McConnell.
If Wisconsin plays as they have in this tournament they are as good as any team. I don't see a blowout here but rather a close one and I'll back the points and hope for more...
