The Connecticut Huskies and Michigan State Spartans will play Sunday afternoon for a spot in the NCAA tournament Final Four.
Connecticut has made it to the Elite Eight by knocking off St. Joseph’s, Villanova and Iowa State. On the season, UConn averages 72.7 points on 45 percent shooting and allows 64 points on 39.2 percent shooting. While the defense has done its job throughout the year and averages 6.2 blocks per contest, Connecticut goes as far as senior guard Shabazz Napier carries the Huskies. Napier averages 17.8 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists for UConn. However, the Huskies have received a tremendous boost from DeAndre Daniels lately, as he scored 27 points in the win over the Cyclones. UConn is 20-15 ATS overall this season.

The Huskies are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 NCAA Tournament games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Spartans are 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 NCAA Tournament games.
While I know everybody and their mother is going to be on Michigan State, I just can’t bring myself to do it at this number, especially knowing that it’s probably going to go up throughout the day. Napier seems to be on a mission and is getting timely performances from his teammates. Not to mention UConn is right at home with the game being played in the Garden.
I give the Huskies a slight chance to win this game SU, but I’ll gladly take all of the points I can get.
