The Kentucky Wildcats and the Buffalo Bulls face off on Sunday in Lexington at Rupp Arena in college basketball action.
The Kentucky Wildcats are the top ranked team in the country and looking at their roster John Calipari has enough talent to work with that he could have two top ten ranked teams. UK opened their season breezing by Grand Canyon by 40 points in game where they could have pretty much just named the number of points they wanted to score and win by. Andrew Harrison scored 16 points in the opener and Trey Lyles had 14. Willie Cauley-Stein had 12 points while Dakari Johnson had 10 points and 13 rebounds. Kentucky shot just 21.4 percent from beyond the three-point arc but shot 48.6 percent overall. Kentucky has a monster game on Tuesday against Kansas.

The Buffalo Bulls are clearly up against it in this one but they did open their season with a win over South Dakota State. Buffalo trailed at the half and it was tight all the way but they managed to get the two-point win. Justin Moss led the way for Buffalo scoring 25 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Shannon Evans had 17 points and Jaryn Skeete had eight rebounds. Xavier Ford had eight points and nine rebounds and Lamonte Bearden eight points and six assists. Buffalo will need to shoot a lot better as they shot just 32.4 percent from the floor overall and 11.1 percent from beyond the three-point arc.
Kentucky is 4-0 against the spread in their last four home games, 8-1-1 against the spread in their last 10 games, and 6-1-1 against the spread in their last eight non-conference games. Buffalo is 5-0 against the spread following a game that they didn’t cover the point spread, 4-1 against the spread in their alst five road games, and 16-6 against the spread in their last 22 games.
Kentucky is a monster favorite and while with Kansas on the horizon under normal circumstances it would be put in the bench players when it gets out of hand but the thing is Kentucky’s bench players are High School All Americans so look for the Cats to roll.
